The Brave Monkey Pirate

One day, Pirate Modi was out running errands with his mom.
They shopped for groceries and eat peas at his favorite restaurant.
Then the Pirate Modi's mom said, "Oh yes, we need to stop off at the doctor office for a quick check up."
The doctor check Modi's heart, his blood pressure and his knees.
He explained that Modi has to come the next day to get a shot, to protect him from scurvy or something.
The Pirate Modi did not like shot.
That evening his father came home and Modi told him all about the visit to the doctor.
Modi's father said, "Modi, I know of something that can help you. Take this map and my fastest pirate ship and find it. Also, if you stay very still for the doctor you can have some ice cream."
So, Modi followed the map through the wildest seas, and climbed up volcanoes filled with fiery lava, and sneaked past creatures so terrible that they will not be described in this story, until he reached an icy castle at the top of the mountains.
Inside, he found a great crab wizard on a crab wizard throne.
The crab wizard spoke these words,
"Monkey Pirate, because you have braved many obstacles to get here I will give you this rock. When you get a shot, you must squeeze the rock very tightly, and count to three. You will be magically taken into the future where the shot will be finished. Also, you can have some ice cream after."
The pirate Modi thanked him and sailed back home to get some sleep.
The next morning, he took the rock with him to the doctor's office.
The doctor hummed a little song and filled up Modi's shot.
Modi closed his eyes very tightly, squeezed the rock as hard as he could, and counted 1, 2,
The crab wizard was right! The shot was finished.
The Brave Monkey Pirate was now immune to scurvy and some other stuff.
And he had ice cream on the way home.

Alison's Alligator

Alex alligator arrived at Allison Arthur's apple farm in April, when the apple trees were covered with blossoms.
"Whatever am I to do with an alligator?" Allison asked.
Inside the box, Alex yawned. Alex stuck his legs through the holes at the bottom of the box and ambled into the house in search of dinner.
"Oh no you don't!" cried Allison. "You cannot live in the house. You are to stay in the stream behind the apple orchard."
Allison put Alex in the small stream. Then Allison put a strong fence around the stream so Alex did not try to eat Mrs. Chory's chickens.
Alex liked the stream and his pen. He especially liked the steaks Allison gave him every morning and evening.
One day in August a red apple fell off a tree and rolled under the fence and into Alex's pen. Alex sniffed it a bit and then took a bite.
It was the most delicious thing Alex had ever eaten. Alex slipped under the fence and ambled into the apple orchard. Alex found a line of baskets sitting under a tree. Alex ate all the apples in the baskets. Then he wandered under another tree and ate all the apples in the baskets he found there. He was very happy. And very full. He went back into his cage.
Allison came by later with his steak. Alex sniffed at it, but he was not very hungry.
"Do you know what someone did Alex?" asked Allison. Alex yawned. "Someone stole all my apples. They knocked over the baskets and stole the apples. If it happens again, I'm calling the police."
That night, Alex had a very pleasant dream about apples. After his steak the next morning, Alex slipped under the fence and out into the orchard. There were a bunch of people climbing up and down ladders with baskets. Alex watched for a few moments. Then he realized that when the people came down the ladders, their baskets were full of apples.
Alex wandered over to the closest ladder. A small girl descended with a basket full of apples. Alex grinned at her. The little girl screamed and dropped the basket. She ran away, yelling for her mother. Alex stuck his head in the basket and began eating apples. He heard voices coming towards him.
"Now April, you know what I've said about fibbing. There are no alligators in this orchard." said April's mother. Alex pulled his head out of the basket and grinned at April's mother.
"Ahhhh!" she screamed. April and her mother ran away as fast as they could.
Alex walked over to another tree. A man was climbing down the ladder. He stepped on Alex's back. Alex grunted and tried to walk away. The man looked down at Alex and yelped. The man dropped his basket and ran toward the house. Alex ate all the apples in his basket.
Just then, Allison came running into the orchard.
"Alex!" she yelled. Alex took one look at Allison and bolted back into his pen. Allison followed him.
"So you're the one who ate all my apples." she said. "I'd better fix your cage."
Once Alex's cage was fixed, he could no longer go into the apple orchard. Alex stared longingly at the trees full of apples.
At dinner time, Allison brought Alex a steak as usual.
"You are a bad boy, Ales," she said. "But I can't blame you for liking apples. I brought you a surprise."
Allison went outside the cage, and picked up a basket. It was full of apples! Alex ate all the apples before he ate his steak.
Allison laughed. "I'll bring you apples every night Alex," she said. That is exactly what Allison did.

My Unforgettable Experience

Last holiday my family and I went to Tidung Island. Its located in Kepulauan Seribu in Jakarta. We went there by speed boat.
A day before we went to Tidung Island we prepared all the things we wanted to bring. My mom loves backpacking and she hates to carry suitcases every time my family had a trip. So she told us to bring a backpack. A backpack for every family member, including her.
I chose to bring my school bag because its large enough to bring all the things I needed. I packed for like two hours that night. I brought some of my clothes, my swimsuit—because there are some beautiful beaches there and I will be so upset if I couldn’t swim there just because I didn’t bring my swimsuit—and I brought my camera too, of course. And some books. I always carry a book everywhere I go, that's just a habit.
After we were done with packing, my mom told us to sleep earlier because we’ll have a morning trip. I was so happy and enthusiast about this vacation so I was going right on to my bed and sleep.
The next morning, my alarm rang at 4.00 and I woke up and turned it off. Then I took a bath and pray shubuh, right after we all ready to go we went to Muara Angke to catch the boat that will bring us to Tidung Island.
We had a two-hours ride before we finally arrived. In the first day we just played at the beach, took some photos and went around the island with the bike we’ve rented before. We also watched the sunset at the beach.
The most exciting day is the second day. We woke up before dawn and we went straight to the beach by the bike to watch the sunrise. There were only few people at the beach because most people was still asleep. I sat by the "Jembatan Cinta"—that’s what people called the bridge that connect the Big Tidung Island and the Small Tidung Island. There’s a myth that said if a couple stand on the top this bridge together, their love will last forever—and watch the sun rose. After the sun has completely risen, we tried to ride a big life vest that shaped like a pillow and is being pulled by a speed boat. We had so much fun until we had this little accident. Our pillow balloon was accidentally crashed another pillow balloon. We were shocked but besides that everything was fine. Not everything to be honest, when our pillow balloon crashed, these two children from another balloon just like flew from the balloon and landed on the water. Their mom was so scared that she screamed so loud. But then their father went to get them so everything was all right.
Then we went back to our homestay and prepared for snorkeling (!!!) This is my very first time to snorkel so I was kinda scared but also excited and curious about how is it feel to be that close with the ocean. I mean the fish and all beneath the surface. Because I used to just watch it on television. Our guide suggested us to bring bread crumbs, because the fishes likes it. I was so amazed by the view because its basically the most various kind of fishes I have seen in my entire life right under my body. And all the coral reefs were so pretty and beautiful and flawless, it was amazing. We snorkeled from 8 to 2. Then after that we rode a banana boat and then watch the sunset. The entire day was so amazing I wish I could rewind that day.

The next day we didn’t do much on Tidung Island, because our boat that will take us back to Jakarta is left by 7 in the morning. So, in the third day we just biked along the island to buy some souvenirs and watch the sunrise and then we prepared to go back to Jakarta and then we catch our boat and the boat throwed off its bowlines on 7. That’s pretty much how my family trip’s in Tidung Island. It was so beautiful and unforgettable. I absolutely had a quality time with my family last holiday.

About My Friend Irna

My friend's name is Irna Nadhira Aulia. She was born in Bandung, on March 28th 1998. She lives in Komp. Dai Ichi no. 61. She really likes anime. And she really loves to draw. Her drawing is pretty good. She really likes math. I often ask her about my math homework. Actually she’s pretty good in almost every subject. She’s good at math, she’s good at biology, and physics, and chemistry, and almost everything. She wanted to be a pediatrician. She’s kind. But she doesn’t talk much, I find it fun when I’m taking with her though. She has so many idols to mention here. But she likes Usul Takumi the most, she said it’s the main character of this one comic titled Kachou Wa Maid-Sama Marga. She listens to jazz and pop. Her favorite singers are Afgan, and J-Pop (kind of AKB48).

My Autobiography

My name is Afifah Alifia Alfiantie. I was born in Bandung on 29th of April 1999. I live in Jl. Kubang Selatan no. 22. That’s actually my grandparents’ address. I’m originally from Tangerang though. But now I'm studying at SMAN 3 Bandung. I have one sister and one brother. My sister’s name is Ammara Azwadiena. She is now a third grader in her elementary school. And my brother’s name is Luthfi Zufar. He goes to the same school as my sister but he’s a fifth grader. My mother’s name is Yanti Kuswanti. My mother is a housewife. She used to live in Bandung, but then moved to Tangerang with my father. My father’s name is Abdulatief Yukkas. He’s a programmer.
My hobbies are reading, browsing, and watching movies and/or tv shows. I love traveling too. But I don’t consider traveling as my hobby because I don’t do it often. My mom loves traveling too, so we just travel in our days off for now. And I love reading so much. I actually have so many favorite books but I got this ‘book-obsession’ back in 2011 when I first read The Hunger Games trilogy. So, I think my most favorite book of all time is The Hunger Games trilogy. Although you can say books are my escape I don’t really like Indonesian teen-books. I think they're too... Um, cheesy? And you can predict the ending easily as soon as you you reach the middle part. And the conflicts are all about love. So I don’t really enjoy reading them. Because of reading I’m interested to be an author when I grow up. Or a journalist. Or even a book interpreter. Or just working in a magazine production.
My second hobby is browsing. I can sit on my computer all day and all night if my mom doesn’t take it away from me. I think I get this from my father. We usually browse things together. And I love him for repairing my laptop every time its out of order. He usually just sit on his couch with the laptop on his lap and just browse things up until dawn. And so do I. Sometimes I’m on one of my social networking without realizing that time has passed by. That’s a bad habit though, I’m trying to reduce the amount of time I spent on my computer.
And the third hobby of mine is watching movies and/or tv shows. I’m just so happy that my favorite books are being turned into movies lately. I love every genre of movie as long as the movie has an interesting story and plot. And my favorite kind of tv shows are like CSI, NCIS, Castle, Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars and many more. I love a murder-investigation-themed tv shows so much. These kind of tv shows has inspired me to be a forensic expert when I grow up. I think I have a lot of things I wanted to do when I grow up.

Okay I think that’s all and I hope you enjoy the autobiography I’ve made. And thank you so much for reading.
